prego cravings

Last night I was having a HUGE craving for a shaved ice, or a delicous slush. We prob drove around for a good 30 minutes. There was no 'tigers blood' to be found. I was totally bummed. I miss Paces Dairy Ann right about NOW!!

spoonful

After spilling down lots of shirts, throwing spoons out of frustration and using them upside down...Jackson has finally learned the proper way. He now eats everything with a spoon and loves to eat at the kitchen table next to mom and dad while using utensils!

where's all the $$ going?

It seems like everyone warns you about diaper prices before you have your baby. Well I decided I would test it out. This last month I bought the HUGGIES diapers at Costco. The box contains 200 diapers for $39.99. So I kept track on my calendar how long it would take me to go through the 200 diapers. 42 days later they were gone. That may seem like a lot of days, but Jackson does wear a swim diaper as well almost everyday. So I averaged 5 diapers a day. After doing the math I will only buy 9 boxes of diapers a year from Costco costing me a little over $370.00. Not to bad I thought... I was thinking more in the $500 range. So, there you have it, the average person shouldnt be spending more than that per year!! Good news I hope for everyone!

My honey scored these new shoes from work last week for hitting his bonuses!! If you know Tony, he loves shoes.... he has even more than me. Im cool with someone else spending the money and not us!! They're cute huh.

Fun in the Sun

Isnt this picture so adorable. These two boys are my favorite and honestly Jackson is the happiest person when he gets to spend time with his dad.

Here's uncle reg takin jax down the waterslide. tony likes to joke that he flexes his muscles for every picture! HA :)
My boy has a GREAT love for water. We cant keep him out of it. The kiddy pool at the waterpark was great. He was running everywhere and enjoying the other kids as well.

This is the correct way to go down the slide.....

This is me going down the slide making a total fool of myself. I had to add this video clip cause it totally shows what a nerd I am.

And here are the boys racing down the slides (which they did over and over again)
We had a great day at the park. We went on the hottest day of the year... 112 !!

me... Ive been tagged!

7 Random things you may not know about me.....

1. I really like to dye my hair. I usually dont have the same hair color for longer than 6 weeks. I just like to freshen up my look and try something new.

2. Im secretly a really big JAZZ fan. Some people do know this, but I like to keep it to myself. Tony and I attended lots of games this year and he will tell you that I get very excited about the game!

3. Im obsessed with prices of gas and food. I have to have the best deal. I will look at four cans of beans and make sure I am getting the best price per ounce. I do this with milk, diapers, meat, everything. My grocery store trips take atleast an hour.

4. When I am on the treadmill I only care about the distance. I tell myself how far I am going to go (between 3-5) and wont stop till I hit it, no matter the calories, time, or incline.

5. I have NEVER had a glass of milk. Im crazy right, but it just has never sounded good to me. I will use it in my cereal and cooking but thats it. Ive been trying real hard to make sure that Jackson loves it, so far he does and I hope he continues.

6. Im a sucker for fresh produce(mainly fruit). I will pay any price for it. It just always tastes so delicous. I just looked, I have a cantelope, grapes, oranges, peaches and apples in my fridge right now.

7. I have this weird thing about picking with my face. I will sit on the bathroom counter and just poke at my chin and nose. I pop zits before they are ready, which kills. My eyebrows are plucked everyday even if I just find one random hair out of place.

So why did Tony marry me....? HA, he didnt find these things out till LATER!! :)

4th of July Celebration

I think this is my new favorite picture of Jackson. He was so happy to see fireworks, like it was the greatest thing on earth. I was just happy that he wasnt feeling sick. Its been four days but I think the bug is finally gone.

He is so patriotic in his new shirt from G&G ! Thanks!

I couldnt get over how cheerful he was last night!! He is the greatest little guy.

Everyone was given little flags last night, jax thought he should take everyones flag that was sitting around us.
This video clip is darling. Tony was doing the wave with Jackson and every time it came around Jackson was tossed up in the air. Watch his face the whole time, its cute!! We went to the Baseball Field last night for the game and fireworks. There have been so many fires in Cali lately that they only allowed a few firework shows this year.... I think we picked a good one.
We spent the earlier part of the day having a bbq by the pool. Tony got half the day off so Jackson was in heaven (me too) to have a boy around.

Wednesday, July 2

Yesterday started off great. We went to the gym early, I ran my 3 miles, Tony swam laps, and Jackson stayed entertained by the televisions and staring at the treadmills. After Tony took Jackson to the outside pool for some swimming and splashing. Keep in mind it was early and the pool was still shaded. They swam for just a few minutes before Jackson had the chills.
By noon Jackson had lost his appetite, had a runny nose, and had begun coughing. The beginning of a long day.... and night. Tony and I arent the most educated when it comes to your child getting sick. Jackson has had a fever only one other time so when this happens we go crazy and are nervous. By 8pm that night his temperature was 102. He was a very sad and cranky boy. He wanted to be held the whole day and I couldnt wait for Tony to get home that night to help out.
We started Jackson on baby tylenol which put him right to bed....but he woke us up 5 more times last night. Luckily he coughed a lot of mucus out and his temp is down to 100. I hope by the end of the day we can get a smile out of him. I know today he is tired.... last night we went from crib, our bed, bathtub, couch, and back into bed to see if we could make him calm down. His temp peaked to 102 again during the night and I felt so bad cause I knew he was so uncomfortable.
So next time we'll be more cautious of the temperature of the swimming pool (we're guessing thats what caused the cold, fever, runny nose, etc. )... I just figured with Fresno temperatures of over 100 everyday we would be all right.
